One of the things that make the Pioneer Rayz Plus ear buds smart is adaptive noise cancelling from Lightspeed Aviation.

Portland, Oregon (November 10, 2017) — Lightspeed Aviation, the leading innovator in aviation headsets, has announced the details of a fall promotion that combines their popular Zulu 3 ANR headset with the near universal appeal of “wearable” audio. Now through December 4, 2017, when you buy a new Zulu 3 at its regular retail price, you will receive a set of Pioneer Rayz Plus smart ear buds, a $150 value.

For use with Apple® devices, Rayz Plus smart ear buds offer a variety of smart features, including hear-through technology, AutoPause (the music pauses when you remove the ear buds), and customizable audio via a free app (this might sound familiar to Lightspeed PFX owners). They are also the only ear buds on the market that allow users to charge their phone while using the ear buds. Perhaps most distinctive of all, at least for pilots, is that the adaptive noise cancellation technology was engineered by Lightspeed Aviation.

“We’ve long felt that the innovative technology we created to tame the extreme noise found in airplane cockpits would have broader applications,” said Allan Schrader, president of Lightspeed. “Pioneer’s selection of our technology for their cutting edge audio seems to bear that out.”
