EAA Ray Aviation Scholar Zulu #

The Lightspeed Aviation Foundation partnered with the EAA Ray Aviation Scholarship Program in early 2019 to recognize the accomplishments of young aviators across the United States. Lightspeed’s dedication to the future of aviation has driven us to award a Lightspeed Zulu 3 headset to each of these scholarship recipients on the path to successfully completing flight training for more than a year and a half.

As of the Summer of 2020, Lightspeed has shipped more than 80 Zulu 3 ANR headsets to the lucky 2019 scholars who have been awarded the EAA Ray Aviation scholarship, across 94 EAA chapters in the US. There are still a few more to go!

With the 2020 year just beginning, Lightspeed continues its commitment to growing the aviation industry, and has already awarded a dozen more Zulu 3 ANR headsets to some of the new batch of 2020 scholars.

A Lightspeed Zulu 3 headset will be awarded to each scholar upon completion of their solo flight and ground school requirements, as a step toward ultimately completing flight training. Using social media tools and benchmarks to maximize reach, their stories will exemplify the possibilities available to young people in aviation and the resources available to them in their local regions.

More than 200 EAA chapters from all regions of the country have applied to participate in the scholarship program and mentor aspiring pilots. Over 90 of these programs are enrolled in the Ray Aviation Scholarship program.
