Three Ways to Power Your Lightspeed Delta Zulu Headset

January 31, 2025

If you own a Lightspeed Delta Zulu ANR headset, it can be powered multiple ways, giving you enough battery life for virtually any situation.

Most of the time, you’ll power your Lightspeed Delta Zulu with the rechargeable lithium-ion battery that comes standard with the headset. The battery can be charged directly from the controller, and when fully charged, it provides an average of 30 hours of battery life. To recharge it:

  • Connect the controller with the lithium-ion battery attached to a power source.
  • Press the power button at the top (cord end) of the controller.
  • Monitor the LED light above the power button. If it’s red, the battery is very low. If it’s orange, the battery is not critically low, but not fully charged. When the light is green, the battery is fully charged and ready to go. A full charge typically takes 6 to 8 hours.

As a backup, your headset can also be powered with 2 standard AA batteries using the battery cartridge that comes standard with the Lightspeed Delta Zulu. Each pair of AA batteries will power the headset for another 10-12 hours.

If you’re using your Lightspeed Delta Zulu headset constantly or flying to remote locations where wall power is unavailable, you may want a rechargeable back-up lithium-ion battery, for another 30 hours of battery life. You may also consider the Lightspeed Battery Charger, which can fully charge the battery in about 3.5 hours in fast charging mode from either USB or panel power sources and includes a 3-foot USB-A to USB-C cable.

No matter where you go, these flexible power options ensure that your Lightspeed Delta Zulu ANR headset can always be fully powered and ready when you are.
