Lightspeed Aviation named HAI Excellence in Communications Award title sponsor for second year

HAI Salute to Excellence Award

Portland, OR (February 26, 2016) — Lightspeed Aviation has announced that, for the second year in a row, it is the title sponsor of the Excellence in Communications Award, one of nine prestigious Salute to Excellence Awards to be presented on March 2 at the 2016 Helicopter Association International Heli-Expo in Louisville, Kentucky. This prestigious award is given once a year to the individual or organization achieving the most creative and distinct dissemination of information about the helicopter industry.

Randy Padfield, former search and rescue pilot and highly regarded author, is this year’s Excellence in Communications Award winner.

The Lightspeed Aviation Excellence in Communications Award is one of nine Salute to Excellence Awards that honor those pilots, maintenance technicians, operators, safety professionals, and others who have demonstrated a commitment to excellence that has enriched vertical aviation.

This year’s honoree for communications is Randy Padfield, who, among other accomplishments, was an Air Force search and rescue pilot credited with seven saves, a former editor-in-chief and COO of Aviation International News, and a highly regarded author.

The Lightspeed Aviation Excellence in Communications Award will be presented March 2 during HAI HELI-EXPO 2016 in Louisville, Kentucky.
