The clean and compact design of Lightspeed's DeLaurentis flight bag conceals generous interior space that includes a number of purpose-built pockets, elastic accessory loops, and even a protective drawstring headset bag.

Portland, Oregon (November 18, 2016) — Lightspeed Aviation, a leading manufacturer of aviation headsets and complementary pilot supplies has announced the addition of the DeLaurentis leather flight bag to their Adventure Flight Bag Collection. Named for modern aviation adventurer and author Robert DeLaurentis and featuring a high-end, messenger bag design, the digital-friendly flight bag targets aviators who are in step with contemporary trends in both aviation and fashion. To help kick off the launch, Lightspeed is offering a free autographed copy of DeLaurentis’s new book Zen Pilot: Flight of Passion and the Journey Within with the first one hundred DeLaurentis flight bags ordered.

“The DeLaurentis flight bag is both purpose-built for aviation and very modern at the same time,” said Teresa De Mers, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Lightspeed. “The bonus of an autographed copy of Zen Pilot to the first 100 customers will be an inspirational read for its recipients, and we are happy to partner with Robert on this project.”

As with the other members of the Adventure Flight Bag Collection, the DeLaurentis is handmade using full grain South American cowhide and includes many thoughtful, pilot-centric features. A padded iPad pocket provides both protection and easy access while another wide interior compartment holds sectionals and other flat items. A drawstring headset bag protects the headset and keeps cables tidy, while sewn-in pockets, elastic loops, and a front organizer compartment keep phones, chargers, IDs, and other small items secured. The main compartment is large enough to hold a headset and a large water bottle (secured by an elastic strap), with plenty of room left over for accessories.

On the outside, four heavy-duty steel rings finished in antique brass secure a padded shoulder strap or easy-carry handle (both are included), as well as accessories. The DeLaurentis sells for $199 and includes a 1-year limited warranty.
